when I was small we lived above my
father's lighting store.  my first job was
flattening and folding the tissue paper
lamp parts came wrapped in.  when I
was older I assembled lamps.  perhaps
I'm carrying on a family tradition.   
the Lupin Quilt and Craft
Fair is held in our village in
July.  I make lupin pottery
especially for this fair, then
not again for another year  
a lamp carved with  
this one of a kind lamp is
adorned with another
version of the fan pattern
this lamp is hand painted with
the "country flower" pattern
a slab-built lamp body
carved with greenery
that is highlighted with
contrasting glazes
two small accent
